Giving Thanks

As I sit here, wide awake as is humanly possible just before 2 am, my mind tends to wander to the type of things people think about at 2 am. The last few nights have been challenging, to say the least. Somehow Evelynn must think it's fun to sleep all day and see how long she can keep us awake at night.

This is nothing we did not expect from the very start, and is really not all that bad, as long as we approach the situation correctly: get some sleep ourselves right after dinner, force Evie to feed on our schedule and get a good feeding even when she wants to stop, and most importantly, have the correct attitude.

My point in all of this is that Rhiana and I would both like to take the opportunity to tell our parents how much we appreciate them and all they have done for so long, how much we admire them, and how much we love them. There simply is no way we can repay them for all they have done for the last 27 years. As I have told my parents before, the only way to give any true repayment is to try our best to give as much support and as much teaching, as many prayers and as much love as they have always given us. Now we have that opportunity.
